Rentometer

May 27, 2008 – 7:21 pm

If someone asks me what they should be paying for rent or charging their tenants I can give them a good idea of where they should be at. I am always available if you want to send me an email or give me a call with a question about rent. However, I found this tool online that may let you do the research on your own. Sometimes I prefer to do that myself.

Rentometer

Here’s a site that will give you an idea of what you should be charging / paying for your rental. You can enter the address and number of bedrooms and it will give you an idea of the going rate in the area. Keep in mind that the information from Rentometer comes with a disclaimer:

‘The Rentometer only uses and reports data from publicly available sources on the internet and in print. The Rentometer never uses private data from any source. The Rentometer does not use and will never use private nor protected data from Rentomatic in any manner. Data entered directly into the Rentometer is offered voluntarily. By using the Rentometer you agree that any data entered may be collected and used for future analysis to improve this free service. ‘

Just keep in mind that the information is entered freely and that people can be deceiving.
